KBP 40th Anniversary Activities
Last April, the KBP celebrated its 40th Founding Anniversary. As part of its celebration, the KBP organized an Outreach Project on April 4, 2013 at the Hospicio de San Jose and a Ten-Pin Bowling Tournament on April 13 and 20, 2013. In the Outreach Project, KBP gave goods including toiletries, condiments, rice, noodles, and bottled water to 120 abandoned or orphaned children and 100 senior citizens. Ten networks participated in the two-day Ten-pin Bowling Tournament. Radio Mindanao Network won the championship by scoring the most number of pin-falls in three games. ABS-CBN was the runner-up.

21st KBP Golden Dove Awards
The KBP Golden Dove Awards was created twenty-one years ago to give recognition to the men and women of the broadcast industry who rendered outstanding performances in their respective fields as well as programs produced with quality following the KBP’s broadcast standards. The highlight of the 21st KBP Golden Dove Awards was the awarding of the “Ka Doroy Broadcaster of the Year Award” to Mr. Ted Failon, News Anchor of ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation and the “KBP Lifetime Achievement Award” to Ms. Charo Santos, President and CEO of ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation.

16th Cerge M. Remonde Chapter Leaders Conference
Seventy (70) participants composed of Chapter Chairpersons, Performance Officers and Regional Coordinators from different KBP Local Chapters attended the 16th Cerge M. Remonde Chapter Leaders Conference last February 27 to March 2, 2013 at the Castle Peak Hotel in Cebu City. The 16th Cerge M. Remonde Chapter Leaders Conference is an annual conference which convenes KBP’s Local Chapter officers to discuss pertinent issues affecting the broadcast industry in the chapter level.
